Turmoil Governed the Night (Poem)

Updated: May 12, 2020

Turmoil governed the night

of never ending thoughts.

Tossing turning hardly sleeping

shadows filled the mind.

Mayhem circled the depths

receding and then returning.

Meandering dreams slowly rotated

creating confusion and despair.

Devious visions drifted down

invading the endless hours.

Disorder ruled the dark

spawning musings soon forgotten.

Confusion slowly drifted away

with the coming dawn.

Clarity replaced the muddle

as light supplanted darkness.
