Today we engage in mission in the context of a global church. Consequently, mission is not about the West to the rest. Instead, it is about mission from and to everywhere. Thus, we in the West need to be aware of and open to the internationalisation of mission. We need to be open to engaging in mission alongside others from within the global church recognising that we each bring different gifts, qualities and experiences to the missionary task. In doing so, we from the West must come to the mission with greater humility than we have in the past. Wherever we come from we must be conscious of our need of each other in taking the gospel to a broken world.
