To Live and Act as the People of God
Updated: Aug 1, 2019
Sometimes there is a gap between what we say that we believe and the way we live. When this happens, we inevitably create a problem for those who are not-yet-followers of Jesus. Nietzsche recognised this reality when he wrote, “They would have to sing better songs to make me believe in their Redeemer: his disciples would have to look more redeemed!” As the people of God, we need to stop pretending to be what we are not and start becoming who we are called to be. Only then will the world begin to take us seriously. As the people of God, we are called to live and act like the body of Christ, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and God’s servant people in and for the world.
