In seeking to engage the world in a meaningful way, we must recognise afresh that missional engagement must orientate itself towards incarnation rather than programs. Far too often in the past, our missional focus has been on programs to the neglect of people. Thus, we need to acknowledge anew that at its heart mission is about relationships for ultimately the missionary is the message. Thus, mission involves living an incarnational lifestyle and presenting the gospel in both word and deed in whatever context God calls us to be witnesses.
