Silence Fills the Air (Poem)

Silence fills the air,

reaping havoc among them.

Unable to hear themselves think

the silence is deafening.

Seeking a way forward,

darkness fully envelops them.

Each step takes forever

as the blackness is amplified.

Searching for success and happiness

all they gain is emptiness.

Every venture leads to nought

as they struggle for fulfilment.

Hope incessantly eludes them

in a world without meaning.

Meaninglessness grants nought

to those blinded by self-centredness.

From where does help come

in a world without God?

Silence fills the air

as they scornfully reject God.
