Radical Thinking Traditionalists
Updated: Jun 25
If we, as the people of God, are to challenge the idols of Western culture that is so eagerly promoted in the media and sections of the church, then we need to do so from the position of being radical, thinking traditionalists. By that, I mean that we should radically engage the status quo of both the contemporary secularist within our culture (and church) and also the died-in-the-wool traditionalist within the church. The challenge of challenging both entities in their, different yet similar, status quo dogmatism requires a radical and thinking form of traditionalism that both takes contemporary culture seriously while being anchored to the traditional sources of the Christian faith in a creative and refreshing way.
