    Days Gone By (Poem)

    The sea raged crashing on the rocky shore as the salt filled air ate tirelessly at the iron railings on the town wall. An old man in a cloth cap walked wearily along the town wall thinking thoughts of days gone by when he was young. He stopped to watch the pounding waves as he pondered the days of his youth when life held so many hopes and expectations.
